• Tax incentives - reduction and exemption of local tax
  · Acquisition Tax and Registration Tax are 100% exempted for factory land and newly constructed factory buildings.
  · Aggregate Land Tax and Property Tax will be reduced by 50% for the first five years of business operation.

  · Locating companies will receive favorable consideration in accessing the Small and Medium Enterprises Nurturing Fund, Restructuring Fund, and Facility Fund.

Daegu was selected as the host city of the 2003 Summer Universiade, the first time it will take place in Korea. They include: the JCI Asia Pacific Conference in 2001, FIFA World Cup, and Preview In Daegu (International Textile Fair) in 2002, and the Summer Universiade in 2003 which takes place under the supervision of FISU (International University Sports Federation).
