Now in its fifth year, the Semiconductor & Display Exhibition (SEDEX) offers a unique chance to experience state of the art technologies in semiconductor and LCD-related products.
Who goes to SEDEX? The visitor profile consists in the main of engineers and purchase managers from leading domestic semiconductor companies, providing a superb opportunity for exhibitors to promote themselves and their products and systems to a high-value target audience.
In addition, ancillary events such as the Technical Seminar, Semicon Component Exposition, Conference on Research Achievements by the System IC 2010 Project, and the 5th Annual Korea Semiconductor Technology Development Competition will attract celebrities and experts from government, industry and academia to make SEDEX Korea 2003 an event all the more worthwhile.
This year¡¯s exhibition will kick off Sept. 23rd 2003 for a three-day run at the Atlantic Hall of the Convention & Exhibition Center (COEX), Seoul.

The drive toward airtight buildings as an energy conservation initiative has heightened the need to remove pollutants from indoor air and created new market demands in the process. The clean air industry is growing rapidly in Korea. Development and deployment of air cleaners increases at a faster rate every year to the point that it is now a 300 billion-won ($250-million) industry.
Because of elevated general interest in clean air, the market grows at an annual average clip of 30 percent. Residential air cleaners have already established themselves in the white goods market due to the rising need to combat both yellow dust blowing in from China and other parts of Asia, and the rise in indoor air pollution brought on by the spread of energy-saving structures.
International Clear Air Tech 2003 (ICAT 2003) will provide exhibitors and visitors with an unparallel opportunity to meet actual users and gain an understanding of the past, present, and likely future of the Korean air cleaning industry.
ICAT 2003 will provide opportunities to:
Introduce new technologies necessary for the growth of cleanroom and
   indoor environment industries.
Purchase quality products and machinery at affordable prices through
   comparison shopping
Reduce time and effort in operations and purchasing
Strengthen the international competitiveness of the cleanroom and indoor
   environmental industry
Discover new sales channels for cleanroom/indoor environment products and    technology.
Discover new horizons in air cleaning at ICAT 2003, to run at the COEX for three days, Sept. 30th to Oct. 2nd.

Biotechnologically produced ¡°health-functional food¡± is credited with improving the quality of life by preventing disease and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The Korean health-functional food market amounted to $1.8 billion in 2002, up 27 percent over the year previous and is expected to continue growing at its current fast pace. The rate of new company creation is high and dedicated purchasing outlets such as health-functional food stores and Internet shopping portals are on the increase.
The 2003 Health-Functional Food Expo & Conference will be held from Sept. 25th to 28th 2003 at the COEX to profile these trends and generate trade contacts in this expanding field. Last year¡¯s event was a resounding success attracting more than more than 100 exhibitors from around the world including Pulmuone and Nutrilite.
This year¡¯s expo and conference is expected to gain added impetus by the recent enactment of the Health-Functional Food Act by the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, since it will serve to more effectively manage the industry and so boost consumer confidence. In fact, bookings for the 2003 event look set to exceed last year¡¯s levels, an indication that Health-Functional Food Expo & Conference 2003 is emerging as a world forum for exchange within, and development of a business that continues to excite considerable public interest.

Seoul International Restaurant Show & Conference, 2003 (SIRES 2003) is Korea¡¯s prime event dedicated to the promotion of the hotel, catering, bakery, restaurant, food and beverage industries. SIRES 2003 will be coupled with a conference on the rapidly expanding foodservice and hospitality industry.
The event annually draws industry buyers nationally and highlevel professionals internationally, in anticipation of witnessing new product launches, technological innovations, demonstrations, specialty pavilions as well as participating in executive roundtable talks and discussions in interactive seminars.
Exhibitors at SIRES 2003 will encounter myriad Korean buyers and traders of the first rank, expand their client bases and renew contacts with existing clients, and much more. There has never been a better time than to exhibit at SIRES as investment and growth in this sector are reaching unprecedented levels.
Appropriately, SIRES 2003 will be held from Oct. 1st to Oct. 3rd. at the COEX in the heart of Seoul¡¯s business and financial district, close to many of the Korean capital¡¯s landmark hotels.

The smell of fresh baking will never seem sweeter than at Seoul International Bakery Fair 2003 (SIBA 2003). SIBA is now a major professional event for the Korean bakery industry, and its size and influence within the Asian market are growing continuously. Since its debut in 1980, SIBA has gained a reputation for top-level organization to the growing satisfaction of its many repeat exhibitors.
Held biannually by the Korean Bakers Association, SIBA suffered a decline in attending visitors in 1999 and exhibitors in 1997 and 1999 because of unstable economic conditions in Korea and the greater Asian region. However, numbers surged in 2001, with visitors leaping nearly 70 percent to 42,300 and exhibitors almost tripling to 152.
SIBA 2003 will aim to broaden consumer appreciation of the bakery industry, inspire new product development and improve baking and related technologies. The exhibition¡¯s ¡°Industry Pavilion¡± will allow visitors to take in the latest high-tech machinery and materials used in baking, and the all-day chefs¡¯ contests to whip up the best chocolate, ice cream cakes, and other desserts are a perennial draw, not the least because of the chance to sample these freshly made delicacies! Come and savor the sweet smell of success at SIBA 2003, to be held for four days at the COEX, Seoul from Oct. 16th to 19th 2003.
